If you’re a bookworm like me, you might find some time over the holidays (or just in your spare time) to do some reading, but you might not be able to lug around a bunch of books.
Did you know there are some great FREE resources for checking out ebooks, audiobooks, and even videos?
I’m gonna overload you with some info, lol, but it’s well worth your time. Check these out all the way to the end. I really think you’ll enjoy them.
These are my favorite goto library and audiobook apps. Some even have desktop versions that can sync with your phone.
These are all available in the App Store and free to download.
If you use Android, many have versions in the Play Store. You may find others you also like that I’m not aware of because I use an iPhone, so check those out, too! Let me know what you find!
Some require your library card information, if you have a membership at your local library.
I’ve divided up the list into categories. I’ve arranged them mostly in the order I use when checking for books. I only use the free services, but some do have subscriptions available and other items for purchase.
Here goes!

SPECIAL NOTE
The apps for Nook, Kindle, and Apple Books (formerly iBooks) also have free books you can get. I think Google Play Books does too, but I’ve not really used it much.
Nook app has free books every Friday you can get from Barnes and Noble and features a free book every month in Readouts or Serial Reads.
So, what are your favorite library apps? Let me know!
Enjoy! And take some time to read to a child!
